Advisory: Fortis Inc. Annual Meeting of Shareholders

ST. JOHN'S, NEWFOUNDLAND AND LABRADOR - Fortis Inc. (TSX:FTS) will hold its Annual Meeting of Shareholders on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. (Newfoundland time), 9:00 a.m. (EDT), at the Holiday Inn St. John's, 180 Portugal Cove Road, St. John's, NL.

The presentation that will be given during the meeting will be webcast on the Fortis Inc. website at www.fortisinc.com.

Mr. H. Stanley Marshall, President and Chief Executive Officer, Fortis Inc., will review the important events of the past year. Mr. Barry V. Perry, Vice President Finance and Chief Financial Officer, Fortis Inc., will review the financial performance of the Corporation in 2009 and provide an overview of results for the first quarter 2010.
