Fortis is among the Best 50 Corporate Citizens in Canada - #24 out of 242 Canadian companies with revenues over $1 billion evaluated on a set of ESG indicators, and #1 in terms of having the largest three-year carbon emissions reduction.
Fortis was recently named one of Canada’s Best 50 Corporate Citizens based on corporate sustainability performance.
Each year, Corporate Knights, a specialized media and investment research firm, ranks Canadian companies with an annual revenue of over $1 billion on up to 21 indicators covering resource, employee, financial management, clean revenue and supplier performance. This is the first year Fortis was evaluated and it ranked 24 out of 242 companies. Of the 14 new companies added to the list this year, Fortis earned 2nd place. Fortis was the top organization on the list in terms of having the largest three-year carbon emissions reduction.
